DeepMind’s AI Agents Take a Swing at 1024-bit RSA: What the Two Papers Actually Show

On 5–6 November 2026 Google DeepMind released two working papers, written with cryptographers Nadia Heninger and Emmanuel Thomé, on weaknesses in legacy 1024-bit RSA. Two cooperating AI agents re-ran a known 1024-bit signature-forgery computation in 391 CPU core-years instead of 1,380, in 3.2 days; a second agent pair proved a “fan factory” that would cut the cost of factoring each additional 1024-bit key to about 1/58 of a normal factorization. The widely quoted “1,600×” figure is an asymptotic estimate, not a measurement, and 2048-bit RSA is not affected.

948 Roads to Root for $1.2 Million: Inside OpenAI's Autonomous Linux Kernel Bug Pipeline

On 4 November 2026 OpenAI published 'A thousand fewer paths to root': an agent pipeline built around an unreleased cyber model scanned the Linux kernel in mid-October, reproduced 1,724 of 2,308 candidate bugs, wrote 1,169 working root exploits against a hardened desktop configuration, and traced them to 948 distinct vulnerabilities, each with a candidate patch, for $1,213,430 in API credits. What the five stages do, what each step cost, where the numbers need care, and what it means for anyone who runs Linux.

Git, Rebuilt for Agents: OpenAI Buys Pierre, Days After Showing How Codex Broke Its Own Monorepo

On 4 November 2026 OpenAI agreed to acquire Pierre Computer Company, maker of the agent-oriented Git service Code Storage and the open-source Trees and Diffs libraries already inside the Codex app. Days earlier OpenAI had published Pando, the in-house Rust Git backend it built in ten weeks after Codex-driven traffic pushed its monorepo's reliability below 90% at times. Read together, the two announcements describe what source control looks like when most pushes come from agents: per-branch consistency instead of repository-wide snapshots, reusable packfiles, and blob storage instead of full replicas. What was announced, how Pando works, how Code Storage compares, and what remains unconfirmed.

Humanoids Reach the Public Market: Agility Robotics Lists on Nasdaq as AGLT With 65,000 Robot-Hours, $1.8 Million of Revenue and a $2.5 Billion Valuation

Agility Robotics closed its SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI on 4 November 2026 and its shares are due to start trading on Nasdaq today under AGLT, making it the only U.S.-listed pure-play humanoid robot company. The deal brings about $465 million, well below the $620 million projected in June, because roughly three-fifths of the SPAC trust was redeemed. The S-4 is the first open balance sheet in the humanoid business: $1.78 million of 2025 revenue against a $140 million operating loss, a going-concern note from the auditor, robots-as-a-service pricing of $8,500 a month, and a $300 million order book that comes from a single related-party customer. What Digit 5 actually changes, how Agility compares with Figure, Tesla, Xiaomi and UBTech, and why a quarterly 10-Q from a humanoid maker is the most useful robotics data the industry has had so far.

Daily Reports by 15:00, Wallet Data Every Monday, Incidents Within 24 Hours: Thông tư 165/2026/TT-BTC Sets the Reporting Calendar for Licensed Crypto Exchanges in Việt Nam From 18 December 2026

Thông tư 165/2026/TT-BTC, signed by the Ministry of Finance on 31 October 2026 and in force from 18 December 2026, is the disclosure and reporting rulebook for the pilot crypto-asset market created by Nghị quyết 05/2025/NQ-CP. Licensed exchanges must show live prices and the three best bids and offers, report each trading day to the State Securities Commission by 15:00, send wallet-level custody data every Monday, notify IT incidents within 24 hours and give seven days of public notice before listing or delisting a token. Compared with the September draft, the final text drops the 1% shareholder rule and the 9:00 publication deadline, converts the order-size bands from US dollars to đồng, and makes the semi-annual customer-asset audit optional.

Which Model Actually Answered You? Anthropic Open-Sources FlashProve, a zkSNARK That Proves Inference at 110 Tokens a Second

Anthropic has published FlashProve, an Apache-2.0 research prototype that lets a model provider prove cryptographically that a response came from one committed set of weights, without revealing the weights. On a single H100 it proves Llama 4 Maverick, a 400B mixture-of-experts model, at about 110 tokens per second with 19 MB proofs that a CPU checks in 17 seconds. The protocol's security is stated in Lean, most of the code was written by Claude, and the limits are real: 1,024-token contexts, greedy decoding only, roughly 70 to 95 times the GPU time of plain inference. What was released, how it works, how it compares with earlier zkML systems, and why it matters for anyone who buys tokens through a router.

A Vase in Istanbul, a Village of Buried Kilns: The Rediscovery of Chu Đậu Ceramics

In 1980 a Japanese diplomat saw a Vietnamese vase dated 1450 in the Topkapı Palace and wrote a letter to Hải Hưng province. Answering it took decades: kilns under a rice-farming village, a shipwreck carrying a quarter of a million pots, and a signature scholars still argue over.

Frozen Three Times, Then Rewritten: From 15 November, Food Businesses Under the Trade Ministry Must Produce Traceability Records Within 24 Hours, and the Ministry Drops Its Own Tracing Code

Thông tư 63/2026/TT-BCT, signed on 30 September 2026 and in force from 15 November 2026, replaces Thông tư 11/2026/TT-BCT, the food-traceability circular that the Ministry of Industry and Trade suspended three times before it ever applied, after the Government froze the new food-safety decree. The ministry gives up its own traceability code, data carriers and mandatory connection timetable and instead builds a food database fed mainly by state agencies, with businesses only encouraged to connect. What survives is the record-keeping core: one step back, one step forward, records kept 12 months past expiry or 60 months from production, and produced within 24 hours of a request. High-risk goods still go through VeriGoods.

Five Working Days, Not Fifteen: Việt Nam Rewrites the Procedure for Flagging Investment Projects That Run on Outdated or Polluting Technology

Quyết định 49/2026/QĐ-TTg, signed on 30 October 2026 and in force from 15 December 2026, replaces the 2023 procedure that decides whether an investment project uses outdated, polluting or resource-intensive technology, the finding that blocks an extension of its operating term under the 2025 Investment Law. Filing moves to the National Public Service Portal, consulted agencies get five working days instead of fifteen, existing safety, energy and environmental inspection results are reused instead of redone, and the test now asks whether the technology sits on the banned-transfer list of Nghị định 101/2026. Inspection bodies are designated for up to five years instead of three, and the ministry must build a database of findings.

Declare Before Launch, Publish Quarterly Checks, Inspect Only on Suspicion: Việt Nam Rewrites Its Telecom Service Quality Rules for April 2027

Thông tư 64/2026/TT-BKHCN, signed on 31 October 2026 and in force from 1 April 2027, replaces the 2013 telecom service quality circular. Operators of fixed broadband, mobile voice, 4G and 5G must declare quality before offering a service to the public, publish a summary of their quarterly self-checks within 20 days of quarter end, keep a quality database for two years and send the regulator a first incident notice within 4 hours. Data centre, cloud and over-the-top communication services get a formal self-declaration duty. Annual inspection and measurement plans disappear in favour of checks triggered by signs of violation, and crowd-sourced speed tests from speedtest.vn will be published monthly but cannot ground a penalty.
